Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills has been recognised in an international list of friendly destinations, adding to its growing reputation as one of South Australia’s most popular tourist towns.
Online geography resource WorldAtlas.com recently named Hahndorf in its Top 10 Friendliest Little Towns in Australia, highlighting the town’s culture, immersive experiences and authenticity.
Hahndorf attracts more than one million visitors each year to its heritage buildings, main street experience and food and hospitality offerings.
The recognition adds to a strong run of recent accolades for the historic township, which is Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement.
Australian Traveller magazine recently ranked Hahndorf 32nd in its list of Australia’s 100 best towns to visit in 2026, and fourth in its top 10 historic towns worth exploring now.
