CBS Inc. ADAI and Mission Australia Information Session
The information session organized by CBS Inc. (Aim Wider) on Wednesday 8 April from 1030am-1230pm at Town Hall, Murray Bridge. The information session will be about Advocacy for Disability Access and Inclusion (ADAI) Inc, CBS Inc (Aim Wider & Aim Higher), Mission Australia, and CBS Inc (Jobnet).
Aim Wider is a free program that supports adults with disability to explore and prepare for open employment, particularly people who are currently in supported employment including Australian Disability Enterprises, or people who are unemployed and looking to explore open employment.
What is Aim Wider?
Aim Wider supports people with disability to:
- Learn what open employment is and what options exist beyond supported employment
- Better understand how work can impact the Disability Support Pension
- Build confidence, skills, and realistic career goals
- Access supported work experience in inclusive workplaces
- Explore open employment in a way that is inclusive, supportive, and based on individual strengths and interests
This session includes –
- An overview of Aim Wider and open employment pathways
- One of the CBS Inc. employed Moonlight Speakers, a person with lived experience of disability, facilitating the session and sharing their journey into open employment
- Information about Aim Higher, a school-based program for students with disability and additional learning needs in Year 9 and above, which supports young people, families, and schools to better understand open employment and future pathways.
