Discover Play Pathway 2026
This free and family friendly Fringe Festival event brings colour, music, creativity and community spirit to the Amy Gillett Bikeway from Oakbank to Birdwood. Whether you walk, ride, or run, it’s all about fun!
With the spectacular backdrop of the Adelaide Hills, the 23-kilometre bikeway winds through iconic townships of Oakbank, Woodside, Mount Torrens and the new extension to Birdwood.
Vibrant activity hubs in Woodside and Mount Torrens will be packed with family friendly activities, entertainment and local goodies. The Mount Torrens Market is a must visit and the perfect place to stop in and refresh after the idyllic ride!
A new addition this year is DJ Sepia’s 11km Speaker Bike Ride along the Bikeway, riding from Woodside via Charleston and with a big finish at Mount Torrens.
The pathway ride is mostly off-road and family-friendly, with a chill-out zone at Charleston along the way with fruit, playground and picnic facilities. Participants are welcome to ride all or part of the route or simply visit one hub and enjoy the activities.
It’s the perfect way to discover the Adelaide Hills and play at your favourite destinations.
Play your day
Activity hubs will feature food, art, crafts, live entertainment!
Start the day with coffee at the bike decoration station in Woodside and explore a range of child-friendly activities, including nature play, face painting and Woody Trails BMX track.
At Mt Torrens enjoy local markets, food, and entertainment filling the bikeway with music and colour.

Woodside Hub (Woody Trails)
The famous Woody Trails Bike track is the ultimate biking adventure zone. Featuring a pump track for the little ones and BMX track for the more experienced riders. Community come together at this special place and welcome visitors to relax and connect.

Charleston Chillout Zone
Here you can chill out, let the kids hit the playground and grab a coffee from the local coffee shop. Bike SA will be set up and ready to refresh riders for their journey!

Mount Torrens Hub and Market
Roll into Mount Torrens Oval, wonder through the local market and enjoy food, entertainment, and family friendly activities. There will be plenty to do for the kids, including the amazing Leckie Playground – a nature play paradise!
