Thomas Foods International is upgrading its Murray Bridge plant after neighbours raised concerns about odours.
For some time, the company’s received complaints about the smell from its rendering and skin processing plant on Lagoon Road.
Following an EPA investigation, the company agreed to take actions to ensure it remains compliant with its environmental licence, including upgrading seals in buildings, improving ventilation and enclosing wastewater trenches so they don’t spill into the wetlands.

An air quality engineer will review the odour controls once the work is finished.
