The finals pictures are taking shape across our regions, with the contenders in particular beginning to make their moves and separate from the chasing packs. Catch up on Saturday’s action here:

RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)

Jervois have brought Imperial back down to earth with a 23-point win on Saturday, as part of Round 12 play in the River Murray Footy League.

Imperial’s streak-shattering win over Coorong last week was quickly forgotten as Jervois, who now take top spot themselves for the time-being, held control of the contest throughout to grind to an important win.

Elsewhere, Tailem Bend claimed a 15-point win over Rambler in a shootout, while Southern Mallee and Mypolonga won big in their matches.

GREAT SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)

Victor Harbor and Willunga have begun separating themselves as the two leading teams in the Great Southern Footy League, after impressive performances on Saturday as part of Round 12 action. 

The Roos stayed on top after beating fourth-placed Encounter Bay by 29 points, while the Demons made light work of third-placed McLaren Districts to win by 36, meaning both sides are now two games clear of third with six rounds to play.

The other matches of the round went to script, with Myponga-Sellicks, Mount Compass and Langhorne Creek all winning in their pursuit of the finals. 

HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE (Division One results here, Country Division results here)

Mount Lofty’s impressive 2025 has continued on Saturday, after they made easy work of finals hopefuls Uraidla Districts as part of Round 11 play in Div 1 of the Hills Footy League. 

Uraidla Districts won their first fixture in Round 2, however the league leaders Mount Lofty flipped the script, winning by 54 to claim their eighth match in nine outings. 

Elsewhere, Hahndorf and Lobethal survived scares to win narrow contests against Mount Barker and Onkaparinga Valley and Nairne Bremer cruised past Blackwood.

The two games in the Country Division split round were blowouts, with Echunga beating Meadows by 33 and Macclesfield defeating Birdwood by 138.
