Murray Bridge Man Injured in Machete Attack

A man from Murray Bridge is recovering from a stab wound following a violent brawl involving a machete in the Adelaide CBD.

The 31-year-old suffered a laceration to his head and wounds to his abdomen following the incident around 5am yesterday, Monday 2 June.

He was one of three people stabbed in an apartment block near Morphett Street. A teenage boy and a 27-year-old man from Craigmore also injured.  All three were taken to hospital, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing, but it is believed the people involved are all known to each other and this was not a random incident.

Two men have been arrested; a 27-year-old Craigmore man and a 25-year-old man from Fulham Gardens.

Both men have been charged with affray and assault. They were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 3 June.
