AACTAs tomorrow night – early awards were handed out during yesterday’s industry luncheon, with wins for Picnic at Hanging Rock, Safe Harbour, Mystery Road, Shaynna Blaze, Andrew Winter and Mr Inbetween’s Scott Ryan, to name just a few. Tomorrow night’s ceremony is sure to be a star-studded affair, with Nicole Kidman and Simon Baker among those expected to attend, while Bryan Brown is set to be honoured with the Longford Lyell Award for his remarkable body of work spanning more than four decades. Australia’s Got Talent returning – Following a seven-year hiatus, Australia’s Got Talent is making a return to Channel Seven in 2019. Auditions are already getting underway on the talent competition, which the network is pitching as a “supercharged” series like nothing we’ve seen before.
Preacher filming down under – good news for fans of Dominic Cooper's hit series Preacher, with confirmation that season four will shoot on our shores. The 10-part season will be filmed over a period of seven months in Melbourne and regional Victoria and is said to have a Melbourne-centric storyline that is set to showcase the city to an international audience.
Scott Tweedie rumoured new Bachelor – Channel Ten personality and The Loop co-host Scott Tweedie is rumoured to be fielding an offer to be the next Bachelor. The star has just come out of a five-year relationship, so the timing is perfect, however, those close to the MC say he’s worried that being on the show could negatively impact his career. Ten is reportedly very keen to get him onboard as he’s obviously a natural on-camera – and, let’s face it, not bad on the old eyes! – so we’ll have to wait and see. I’ll keep you posted!
