Carolyn's goss this week:

Rick Grimes departs The Walking Dead – After nine seasons evading those pesky zombies, Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes bade farewell to The Walking Dead last night – but fans aren't happy about it, and not for the reason you might expect. SPOILER ALERT!! If you don't want any spoilers, turn your radio down for 10 seconds... Rick wasn't killed off, rather he was choppered out of the zombie apocalypse – right into three spin-off films! That's right, AMC has confirmed that Rick Grimes' story will continue on the big screen, with three movies in the works taking place in the aftermath of his rescue…

Divorce renewed for third season – After the longest wait ever, fans of HBO dramedy Divorce will be thrilled to hear that the series – starring Sarah Jessica Parker and scene-stealer Thomas Haden Church – will return for a third season. The dark comedy heads back into production early in the New Year, and fingers crossed the shorter six-episode season will hit FOX SHOWCASE in 2019.

Naomi Watts joins GoT prequel – Late last week it was announced that our very own Naomi Watts has been cast in the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel – set thousands of years before the current events of the Seven Kingdoms. Now, we've been given the tiniest snippet of information about her character. According to insiders, Watts's character is a "charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret". I have to say, one of the things I've loved most about GoT is that it didn't rely too heavily on big-name stars, making household names out of unknowns – such as Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke – so I'm not sold yet on Naomi Watts's announcement.

Yummy Mummies is back! – You may remember a show that aired on Channel 7 last year, called Yummy Mummies, which followed several Melbourne and Adelaide socialites as they embarked on motherhood. The show was a flop, with the women coming off pretty poorly, so it comes as a surprise to hear that it’s returning. The show will now air on 7Plus, kicking off next Monday at 10pm – so not exactly a prime spot there!
