Construction of a new solar farm in the Murraylands has begun.
A five-megawatt project in Coonalpyn was sold recently to Flow Power by Tetris Energy, the company that built a Mannum solar farm in 2019.
Once finished, all power generated from the new farm will be sold to the Adelaide City Council.
The city has an ambitious aim of drawing 100 per cent of its power from renewable sources by July 1.
Two new solar farms are expected to be built in the region in the near future by Terregra Renewables. In December they announced plans for Mannum Road at Mypolonga and Bigmore Rd at Murray Bridge.
