The Adelaide Hills and Murraylands are expecting thousands of spectators in the coming days for the launch of the Tour Down Under.
The opening professional women's race kicks off on Thursday 16 January from Hahndorf at 10am winding around 116 km to Echunga to Macclesfield to Meadows, Kuipto and finishes with a sprint in the main part of Macclesfield by 1.26pm.
On Friday Stage 2 commences at Murray Bridge from 10am. Full of climbing, cyclists will head into the Adelaide Hills via Nairne and Balhannah, before taking the road to Birdwood at Mount Torrens, arriving in Birdwood by 1.26pm.
On Saturday Nairne once again hosts a stage start, with the decisive stage of this year's tour taking the peloton out to Lobethal before looping back towards the tradtional circuit of Stirling, Heathfield, Mylor and Aldgate for the Stage 3 finish.
