A man with connections a Hells Angels property in the Murray Mallee has appealed a guilty murder conviction.
Joshua Grant was in court on Tuesday 12 November as parents of murdered man Mark Boyce spoke about their son’s senseless death in 2017.
The court was told the 36-year-old (pictured) was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he was bashed outside of his Elizabeth South home by three bikies who were looking for someone else.
His father Malcolm Boyce said the murder had left him feeling "shocked", and "angry", while his mother spoke in court about her immense grief and how difficult it was to say goodbye.
In September, detectives unearthed a burnt-out car at a Ponde property believed to be the getaway vehicle after the murder.
It is hoped the discovery will help police close in on the two remaining suspects.
Grant has been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing later this month while he has also appealed the jury's verdict in the Court of Criminal Appeal.
