Filming of a new Hollywood blockbuster has begun in South Australia.
An adaptation of video game series Mortal Kombat is being shot around Adelaide and surrounding regions.
The multi-million dollar project began shooting in the industrial backblocks of historic Port Adelaide on Monday as a recreation of Chicago and will be there for the next two weeks.
Future filming locations in SA include Mount Crawford in the Adelaide Hills and Cooper Pedy.
The film, produced by Aquaman’s James Wan and distributed by Warner Bros, is due for release 5 March 2021.
