Stirling Residents' Final Bid to Stop ALDI Development

Stirling residents will make a final bid today to stop an ALDI supermarket from being built in the village.

Several direct neighbors of the proposed site at 3-5 Pomona Road are expected to address the State Commission Assessment Panel this morning in a final attempt to prevent the development from happening.

The Stirling District Residents Association have cited concerns about the brand of supermarket chain and say they do not believe the site on a creek is appropriate for a large commercial operation.

The final decision will be made by the State Government.
