Littlehampton Shooting - Accused Left Tetraplegic

Supreme Court of South Australia wikicommons by Scott W

A trial has begun for a man accused of attempted murder in the Adelaide Hills.

The Supreme Court has heard that the 32-year-old lured his victim into a garage on his Little Hampton property to show him his gun collection before opening fire with a rifle.

His victim was injured but allegedly fought back with a small hatchet, rendering the man a tetraplegic.

The Northfield man allegedly suspected the other was having an affair with his ex-partner, which may have prompted the attack.

The trial is expected to run for four weeks.
