A vigorous cold front hit SA hard yesterday, bringing thunderstorms, heavy rain and hail to the Adelaide Hills.
Temperatures plummeted by at least 5 degrees celcius across SA within the space of an hour in the early afternoon and wind speeds reached 95km/ph in Mount Crawford.
The conditions caused some traffic chaos. A car slid off the South Eastern Freeway in Bridgewater around 2pm and slippery conditions and hail are thought to be the cause of a multi-car crash on Upper Sturt Rd in Upper Sturt.
