A callout for classic motorcar collectors; pre-entries for the upcoming Bay to Birdwood close this coming Monday 19 August.
The event, which is one of the world’s great historic motoring celebrations, returns on Sunday 29 September.
Celebrating its 39th year, the event features classic and early modern motorcars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. Entries are currently open to vehicles manufactured from 1 January 1956 to 31 December 1986.
The Bay to Birdwood is the largest continually held motoring event for veteran, vintage and classic vehicles anywhere in the world, with this year celebrating the 60th anniversary for the iconic mini cooper.
This year's route finds the vehicles winding their way along Anzac Highway up Greenhill, Fullarton and then North East Road through the townships of Tea Tree Gully, Inglewood, Gumeracha and on to Birdwood.
The festivities at the finish line of the National Motor Museum in Birdwood is a day-long event with live music, 'fashions in the field' competition, local food vendors, children's entertainment, and the judging of the Concours d'Elegance
and Preservation awards.
