The State Emergency Services has received hundreds of calls for help after most of South Australia has been lashed by strong winds.

As a cold front swept across the southern half of the state on Wednesday 11 July 2019, trees came down over roads and roof sheets fell off homes.

In Strathalbyn a caravan being towed by a car on Callington Road around 2pm rolled into a paddock and broke into pieces. A tractor was brought in to remove it.

The Weather Bureau reports we have seen the worst of the wild weather and conditions have now calmed.
