A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Murray Bridge.
Just before 3.30am on Wednesday 10 July, police and emergency services crews attended Adelaide Road near the intersection of Keith Street, after a car collided with a pedestrian.
A 37-year-old local man was treated at the scene but sadly he died shortly after the collision.
Major Crash Detectives are on scene and have been speaking with the driver of the vehicle to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Adelaide Road at Murray Bridge remains closed, with all traffic being diverted around the crash site, motorists are advised to expect delays on the Adelaide side of Murray Bridge.
The State's road toll now rises to 62 compared to 38 at the same time last year.
