A Mount Barker man is due in court today for stealing a six-feet long snake.
The 39-year-old was arrested yesterday and charged with criminal tresspass, theft and unlawful possession.
It is alleged he and a 37-year-old Murray Bridge man broke into a Wellington road store on Saturday 1 June and stole cash, two laptops and a Diamond Python named Moonda.
The Murray Bridge man was arrested on Saturday 8 June, and was charged with unlawful possession. He has been bailed appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 17 July.
Hills Fleurieu Police have not yet been able to locate the snake which is dark grey and yellowish in appearance. They are appealing to the public for information.
