A woman is due to face court on drink driving charges following a crash at Middleton last year.
The 43-year old St Peters woman was taken to hospital on Sunday 9 December after a 4WD station wagon left the road and crashed into a tree on Mill Terrace.
Police will allege forensic examination of a blood sample (taken at hospital on the day) returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.256 - more than five times the legal limit.
The driver was reported on Monday 13 May for drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in the Victor Harbor Magistrates Court at a date to be set.
She was also issued with an immediate 12 month loss of licence.
Multiple Other Drivers Charged Over Weekend
Hills Fleurieu police have charged multiple motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs between Friday 10 May and Sunday 12 May.
Three drivers in the Adelaide Hills and one in Victor Harbor allegedly returned positive results for methamphetamine and four drivers in the Hills have been picked up for allegedly drink driving. One driver was unlicenced and one was driving unregistered.
Each person has been reported to attend court at a date yet to be set.
