The unveiling of a new Drakes Supermarket has been marred by a gas leak.
Just before 6pm on Monday 15 April 2019, police and emergency services were called to the Murray Bridge Green Shopping Centre after a Co2 leak was detected from a refrigeration unit within the newly opened supermarket.
Up to 100 people were evacuated from the complex and the car park had to be cleared and closed off as a precaution.
CFS and MFS units helped to expel the gas with fans, bringing the issue under control by 7.45pm.
There have been no reported injuries.
