Apple & Pear Funding to Weather Storms

The resilience of South Australia's apple and pear industry has been given a boost through a new government funding grant.

Workshops will be rolled out for farmers to learn about how to manage crops during severe storms, which cost the industry $32 million in 2017.

The State and Federal funding comes after last month’s announcement that the Marshall Government would provide a $400,000 funding boost to apple, pear and cherry growers for efficiency generating water and solar pumping equipment.
