Severe Weather Hits

It has been a wild and windy night across the Adelaide Hills and Southern Fleurieu with gusts of over 90km an hour recorded on the coast.

Kuitpo recorded a wind gust of 78km an hour just after 2am, Strathalbyn 95km an hour just after 5:30am and Hindmarsh Island 96km an hour recorded at 4 this morning.

The cold front will continue to move across the state today bringing potentially damaging winds to several districts across SA including Adelaide Metro, The Mt Lofty Ranges, Murraylands and Upper South East, there is a severe weather warning in place.

CFS and SES crews have been kept busy with fallen trees in Hahndorf, Tooperang, Pt Elliot, Nangkita, Macclesfield and Milang with many more expected to be called in when people get up and going for work and school this morning.
