New data from the Australian Government has revealed our local government areas have vastly different uptake rates of the COVID-19 vaccinations for children.

52.3% of kids aged 5 to 11 on average across the nation have received at least one dose, however only the Adelaide Hills and Mount Barker LGA’s managed to top that figure.

The Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, Alexandrina and Yankalilla LGA’s all came in below the national average:

National 1st Dose 52.3% / National 2nd Dose 40.5%

Adelaide Hills - 62.3% / 51.2%
Mount Barker -  55.8% / 44.8%
Victor Harbor - 50.3% / 38.8%
Murray Bridge - 42.1% / 31.4%
Alexandrina - 38.6% / 29.3%
Yankalilla - 36.9% / 26.9%

COVID case numbers across the state continue to persist between 3,000-4,000 a day, with active cases remaining over 25,000.
