Police are investigating a house fire at Goolwa South this morning.
Just before 5am on Tuesday 10 May, police and fire crews were called to Barrage Road, following reports of a house fire.
On arrival they found the two-storey dwelling fully ablaze.
The house was vacant at the time and there were no reports of injuries.
Neighbouring properties were evacuated as it was feared the fire may spread. Luckily crews were able extinguish the fire before it did so.
The building has been extensively damaged, with an estimated damage bill of around $1 million.
Crews are continuing to mop up hot spots throughout the morning.
Fire cause investigators are attending the scene to determine the cause.
