A plan for a tourism park in Woodside has been scrapped in favor of a housing development.
In late 2021 , the Aspen Group lodged an application for a combined tourist park and residential park for a site formerly used for a asylum seeker detention centre.
However, following numerous letters of objections from neighbours and a growing demand for housing in the Adelaide Hills, plans have since been revised.
The plan is to now subdivide the site at 2004 Nairne Road, Woodside, into 32 allotments for homes.
The revised development application is under assessment by Plan SA.
