A report out this week by the Climate Council warns homes and properties across regional South Australia are set to become uninsurable as a result of the affects of a changing climate.

The report has stated 1 in 25 homes and properties across regional and rural SA could become uninsurable by 2030.

It comes as a new Climate Risk Map is launched by the Council, allowing property owners to view localised risks such as bushfires, floods and extreme wind.

Included in the list of high risk areas are towns in the Adelaide Hills council region, Lake Albert and Lake Alexandrina, Coonalpyn, and a few locations along the River Murray.
