CFS Tips This Fire Danger Season

It is important that all community members pay attention to the rules and know their responsibilities during fire danger season, according to local authorities.

The CFS publishes comprehensive information about what restrictions during the Fire Danger Season and on Total Fire Ban days via their website. 

Police encourage members of our community to think about your actions around anything that is flammable or has potential to cause a fire such as:

  • campfires
  • BBQs
  • power tools
  • vehicles on long grass
  • lawn mowing/slashing
  • harvesting

Phone the Information Hotline on 1800 362 361 for information regarding active bushfires, firebans, bushfire safety, BBQs and burn offs.

This fire season be on the look out for suspicious, reckless or negligent behaviour that may cause a bushfire.  Police encourage the reporting of any suspicious activity on 131 444.
