Anyone who purchased road base material from the Goolwa, Strathalbyn or Yankalilla Waste and Recycling Depots in recent months is being asked to get in touch with the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority (FRWA).

FRWA has issued a statement after discovering a small amount of bonded asbestos in a stockpile.

Anyone who has purchased the material between 1 September 2020 and 31 March 2021 is  being asked to contact  their consultant on 0413 703 705 and provide information about the purchase of the material and how it is being used.

The contact will provide further information as to how the matter is being addressed.

Further information about this issue, including how to manage asbestos contaminated material, can be found on the FRWA website - frwa.com.au.
