During high fire danger conditions and dust storms, fire crews managed to contain a threatening fire in the hills within an hour.
According to the CFS, a stubble fire broke out in the backyard of a home at Newman Road, Charleston (near Woodside) around 3.30pm on Tuesday 13 April.
A 'watch and act' message was issued to the surrounding region as there were concerns it could take off in a south-easterly direction.
However, crews contained the blaze within an hour and the warning was dropped.
Take care in the area over the next few days as there could be smoke and a risk of trees falling.
