Arrest Following Pedestrian Injuries in Murray Bridge Crash

Police are investigating a crash at Murray Bridge which resulted in two men being taken to hospital.

It is alleged that an altercation broke out between about 10 people around 5pm on Saturday 28 November at the intersection of Homburg Drive and Hilton Street.

A Toyota 4WD was seen driving away from the scene and allegedly hit two people from the group on its way out.

The two men are in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, a 57 year-old local man,  later went to the Murray Bridge Police Station where he was arrested and charged with two counts each of acts to endanger life and failing to render assistance at the scene of a collision.

He has been bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
