Update: Fatality Following Crashes in South

UPDATE: An 18-year-old Victor Harbor woman has died from injuries sustained in a head-on crash on Tuesday. SA Police announced the death on Friday 27 November in the evening. The other woman who was seriously injured in the crash, a 47-year-old from Normanville, is in a stable condition.

Earlier: Police are investigating two serious crashes in the south of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

About 1.20pm Tuesday 24 November emergency services were called to the Ring Road,  Armstrong Road, after a Mitsubishi sedan travelling east and a Toyota ute travelling west, had collided head on.

Both drivers were taken to the South Coast District Hospital before the driver of the sedan, an 18-year-old Victor Harbor woman, was airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition. The driver of the ute, a 47-year-old Normanville woman is in a stable condition.

Then just before 5pm, emergency services were called to Commercial Road after reports of a collision between a motorbike and a 4WD.

The motorcycle rider, a 22-year-old Seaford man, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre where he remains in a critical but stable condition. The driver of the car, a 45-year-old Port Noarlunga woman wasn't injured.

Both Commercial Rd and Armstrong Rd were closed for some time yesterday, but have since been reopened.
