A man from Bridgewater has been arrested following three incidents of indecent behaviour in an Adelaide Hills cemetery.

On Friday 23 October, police received reports from two women who had seen a man acting indecently at the Stirling Cemetery near Oxford Road, a short distance from the Aldgate Primary School.

After victims provided a detailed description of the male suspect, officers in plain clothes attended the cemetery on Friday and again yesterday, Tuesday 27 October, to attempt to locate the suspect.

They spotted a naked man inside the cemetery just before 2.30pm yesterday and with help from police dog PD Havoc, they tracked him down in scrub off Cumberland Road, where he was detained and arrested.

The 67-year-old man from Bridgewater has been charged with two counts gross indecency and one count of indecent behaviour.

The man has been bailed with strict conditions to appear in the Mt Barker Magistrates Court on 18 November.

The police investigation is continuing, anyone with information on these or similar incidents in the Stirling area, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
