The State Government has dropped its Supreme Court bid to seize the Hell’s Angels' beloved Ponde property as an instrument of crime.
Prosecutors made the surprise announcement in court on Wednesday 16 September, according to Adelaide Now.
In December, the police launched the landmark case, determining the future of the bikie gang's ownership of their million-dollar Murraylands property after they discovered a burnt-out car believed to be used in the 2007 murder of Mark Boyce, buried deep under the earth.
The gang’s legal costs run into the tens of thousands of dollars and there is currently a question mark over who foots that bill and whether tax payers will have to cover the cost.
