A popular rail service between the Adelaide Hills and south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula is back on track next month.
With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, SteamRanger Heritage Railway has announced that its Mt Barker-based operations will re-commence on Sunday August 16 with the first train departing at 10am.
The Southern Encounter runs from Mt Barker to Victor Harbor and back, via the southern Mt Lofty Ranges, Strathalbyn and Goolwa.
SteamRanger Heritage Railway's online booking system is not up and running, so those wanting to book seats are encouraged to call the ticket office on 1300 655 991.
Social distancing and hygiene rules are in place and passengers are required to provide their contact details to assist SA Health in Contact Tracing in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak.
