$2K Bounty on Driver Who Hit Koala

There’s a $2,000 reward out for anyone who can track down the driver responsible for running over a koala in the Adelaide Hills.

According to Adelaide Koala Rescue, around 3.20pm on Thursday 25 June, a witness saw a white flat-tray ute swerve on to the wrong size of the road and mow down the female marsupial near the corner of Woodside and Quarry roads in Woodside.

The koala called 'Arizaan' escaped serious injury and is now recovering at a facility in Campbelltown with Adelaide Koala Rescue.

The world’s largest animal welfare group PETA is offering $2,000 to the person who can find the perpetrator.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RSPCA on 1300 477 722.
