Free Vaccines Available As Japanese Encephalitis Season Begins

Free vaccinations for the Japanese Encephalitis virus are now available across parts of the Murraylands and Mallee.

Eligibility includes residents, landholders and workers in high-risk postcodes who spend long periods outdoors where mosquito bites are more likely.

SA Health is urging people to protect themselves before the peak of mosquito season.

Symptoms can include fever, seizures and neurological complications, but most cases show no signs of infection.
