Car Thief Victims Injured in Murray Mallee

Two people were injured after a car was stolen, south of Tailem Bend overnight.

Just after 8pm Monday 15 July police were called to Darwin Road, Cooke Plains, after reports a group of four people had stolen a white Toyota Hilux.

The occupants of the home where the car was parked attempted to stop the thieves and as a result were struck by the car.

A 59-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were taken to hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The white 2019 Toyota Hilux, SA registration S924DAK, was last seen travelling toward Tailem Bend on the Dukes Highway.
