Salmonella Victim An Employee At The Store

One of the four people hospitalized in a recent salmonella outbreak linked to the Pork Pie Shop in Victor Harbor, was one of the store's managers.

Debbie Joy came down with the food poisoning along with 11 others, all who picked up the bug through a raw egg wash used on their ascot and port pies.

The shop has since been cleared of the bacteria after close scrutiny from the SA Health and Primary Industries, and has reopened its doors, the managers saying they are devastated but thankful for the support from the local community and their wholesalers.
